Dreamcast low resolution

Happy new year to everyone!

During christmas holidays i set up my Retrobat drive. So far most of the systems run quite well but i have some problems with a few of them:

Dreamcast: i set up the resolution to 4k and 120hz to play it nice on my LG CX TV. The emulation is quite nice but the resolution looks very "pixeld". For example Sega Rally 2 looks more like the Saturn version and i really don't know why? Does someone could help here?

PSX: is not working... It says that Bios 1001.bin is invald but i changed it few times with other versions - didn't work so far. Any ideas?

Is there a Bios Pack for Retrobat to download? Would be very nice

And how do it add or update the emulators? Or is this not necessary?

you don't give us a lot of info other than telling me it doesn't work ...
which core? which emulator?
You know we don't develop emulators. So think already has tested the games outside Retrobat, and also to look elsewhere if someone is in the same case as you.

In the meantime i bring PSX to run quite good. I tried different Bios Files and one of them seems to work quite nice... So problem fixed.



For Dreamcast i use Demul and i think this graphic issues appears only on some games? Very strange... After testing Sega Rally 2 i tested also some other games which looked correct... Also most games run quite good but for Sega Rally 2 there seems to br an error with the textures... I already check the Demul settings but i can't find an option for this...?

I can't help you for Demul, It is an old emulator and no longer updated for a long time.
For the Dreamcast, Naomi 1 and Atomiswave games, I advise you to use the libretro Flycast core, which is clearly the top.

Ah great i didn't know that Demul is outdated, i will try Flycast maybe the issue will gone with this emulator. But all in all Demul makes a good job so far... Do you also recommend Flycast for Sega Hikaru?

Is there an overview about which emulators work best for each system? And maybe with some recommendation about the default settings? Think this could be helpful for new users...

at this time, flycast only emulates the Dreamcast, Naomi1 and Atomiswave.
For others, use Demul.

On Retrobat, generally, the emulator that is on "Auto", is the one that works best. (but there are some exeptions.)
